This system holds the jewel of the League, the capitol planet Jaeger, which is the closest Earth-like world in Orion space. Plantacia is a main-sequence G2 yellow star, much like Sol, holding six planets and one asteroid belt. As Epsilon Leonis is the economic capital of the League, Plantacia is the political and military capitol.

Resting far above the galactic plain, the system was initially charted by explorers of the Terran Empire who would later form the early Orion Nation. They swiftly followed up their discovery of a pristine Class I planet with a wave of colonists, and named the world Jaeger. The Plantacia system soon became a central point for further exploration beyond Terran borders, and the de facto capitol of the early Orions. Its significant distance from Sol helped conceal the system from Terran attack during the First Galactic War, but also contributed to the Orion Nation's lack of stellar relevance, and subsequent omission from the Treaty of Earth.

When the Orion League formed in 2321, Plantacia became the capitol system, and Jaeger the capitol planet. To foster a sense of national unity, efforts were made allowing the other three founding nations to establish cultural and economic claims in the system. A second wave of immigrants embraced Plantacia, and the system flourished in all respects until the Interbellum gave way to the long decades of Second Galactic War.

Militarily, Plantacia was scarcely threatened during the war. Expansion Pentad fleets were far away, and the League's early agreement with the Profit Confederation provided a long time to establish appropriate defenses. Austrin border attacks never pushed this far into Orion space, and the same distance from Earth that protected Plantacia during GW1 now impeded the Union of Sol's military. Economic stresses, however, slowly piled higher though the war, wearing down the capitol's resources, finally collapsing into recession following the Treaty of Concord.

Today, Plantacia is awakening from its long haze. Immigrants from across the Stellar Ring arrive seeking the promise of unrestricted civil freedom. Factories reopen as businesses again expand. Diplomats of all stellar nations and League member systems engage in negotiation and cultural exchange.

Minnet

This planet is too close to Plantacia for permanent settlements to survive, but shielded mining facilities do well, as Minnet is mined for its large seas of liquid metals. Its twin moons Casla and Misla once held an abundance of natural resources, but have since been mined of all but the most difficult to reach deposits. A few companies still delve deep into the bowels of both moons, but widespread appeal for such profit is long departed.

Greagor

The planet Greagor is a more unstable mining environment, and industrial companies must utilize large, mobile, mining-ship facilities in their operations, as the planet must be evacuated every two years when its overlarge moon passes extremely close to the atmosphere, resulting in widespread seismic activity. Hisluc is two-thirds the size of Greagor, and creates the planetary earthquakes for about two weeks. The seismic activity during this time would quickly destroy any permanent settlements and mining facilities on the planet, and more than a few greedy independent operations have been wiped out as a result of cutting their close escape.

Bicker

This small airless world is dotted with several domed cities housing almost a billion residents. These structures began when certain mining interests decided that airless Bicker was a more desirable location to operate than deadly Minnet or seismically unstable Greagor. Processing and fabrication businesses soon built domes to be closer to the ore production, and corporations relocated their employees' families into habitat domes. The League later constructed penal domes to house maximum-security inmates, and then greenhouse habitats to supplement agricultural needs. By 2350 it seemed only natural to establish population and education centers on Bicker, and the planet grew a complete society. Today Bicker hosts a thriving cosmopolitan community, including the distinguished Kathryn Brown University, and the original Viking Shipyards construction facilities.

The Strands

This voluminous belt hosts a blend of uses for its asteroids. The Strands are divided amongst a multitude of businesses vying for a share of the mineral wealth or other economic opportunities. Beyond the typical mining operations, the Orion Chemical Corporation owns some of the larger asteroids, and independent facilities offer small-scale ship repair and entertainment venues. The Orion Stellar Navy and Star Service maintain navigation beacons throughout the Strands to generate drift charts, facilitate traffic lanes and prevent piracy hideouts from establishing in the belt.

Jaeger

The capitol of the Orion League, Jaeger has everything a person could ever want. If you need it, you can find it here. Four continents, four oceans, two inland seas and three mountain ranges cover this planet's surface. The Orions have kept parts of Jaeger undeveloped as nature preserves, and designed the planet‟s cities and industrial development with this goal in mind, creating an aesthetic blending of civilization and nature unknown in old Solar worlds.

The continent Kelts holds the capitol city, Unity, conceived and constructed after the four founding nations came together to form the League. It was decided the new stellar nation required a new capitol city, and Unity was designed to inspire a sense of belonging and calm that foreign visitors find inescapable, from the Main Avenue, to the Concord Peace Park and Kelda Stark Memorial. Unity contains the Presidential Residence on Magellan Street, Chamber of Equals where the national legislature convenes three months each year, and the Grounds of Law, home to the Central Judiciary Office and Supreme Magistrates. Four branches of the Orion League military base their national headquarters in Unity, while the fifth, the Orion Stellar Navy, relocated to Jaeger's moon in 2375. Every stellar nation and independent alien power has an embassy in the city, allowing Orion diplomats to maintain a healthy discourse beyond the tumultuous arena of the Galactic Consulate.

Outside the capitol city, Jaeger is home to some of the most prestigious Universities in Orion space: the Jaeger University of Applied Sciences, the Orion Institute of Technology, Jaeger College of Medicine and the Orion Military Academy.

Osere

Jaeger's only moon was terraformed long ago, and because the satellite it not yet tidally locked by the larger body's gravity, has both days and nights. Osere is home to one-quarter the population of its parent planet. The two share a symbiotic culture, and the moon is essentially a microcosm of Jaeger in all respects. The Orion Stellar Navy's central command operates from the Hunter‟s Bow monolith on Osere, from which all major Fleet movements originate. Additionally, Artemis Station, Pritchard Orbital Wetdock and the Alexandria Defense Net are vital to the OSN central operations here.

Shoenlin

A gas giant with only twelve moons all of Shoenlin's satellites are utilized to some extent. Among the inhabitants are: the typical mining endeavors, OSN early warning stations and starrise detectors, a remote Star Service training post and a fraal monastery. The twelfth moon is known is certain covert circles as the home of elite special operations forces within the Orion military.
